• Polish Committee for Scientific Research (KBN): granted the Library a subsidy which (together with aid from the Foundation for the Promotion of Polish Science) allowed for the installation of a fire- and theft-prevention system in the Theoretical Physics and Experimental Physics Libraries; an electronic catalogue of the Library's collection is under development, partially supported by the KBN under Project No. 1261/W/DOT/DI/97 (see below).
• Foundation for the Promotion of Polish Science: Thanks to subsidies from the Foundation, the Library was modernized and equipped with FLEXImobile mobile shelves.
