Zdzisław Szymański Prize
Purpose:
To recognize outstanding work in studying of properties of nuclei.
Nature:
The Prize consists of
a honorarium for a lecture and a certificate citing the contributions
made by the recipient. It is presented bi-annually.
Rules & Eligibility:
Winner of the 2010 Prize is:
Dr. Michał Warda from the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska.
Previous Winners:
For the year of 2002 Dr hab. Piotr Magierski from the Warsaw University of Technology.
For the year of 2003 Dr hab. Marek Pfützner from the University of Warsaw.
For the year of 2004 Dr hab. Bogdan Fornal from the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kraków.
For the years of 2005 & 2006 Dr Ernest Grodner from The University of Warsaw.
For the year of 2007 Prof. Benoit Gall from the University Louis Pasteur in Strasburg
and Dr Adam Klimkiewicz from the Jagielonian University in Kraków.
For the year of 2008 Dr Aleksander Parhomenko from the The Andrzej Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies.
Donations:
This Prize is supported by contributions from institutions and friends of Zdzisław Szymański to honor him for his outstanding and numerous accomplishments in nuclear physics.
