UPS usage

1. Using UPS at LCO

UPS at LCO is model : SmartPro UPS SMART INT 1400 ( TrippLite ) , software page , linux soft
UPS at LCO is now connected by USB to pi3 computer, it is possible to run software monitoring UPS. In order to
run server on pi3 login as root and run command :
       /etc/init.d/pa start
After this it is possible to check current input voltage by watching log file :
      tail -f /opt/pi/ext/poweralert/log/TLS14I/Event/20060801.evt
Note :
file name ( in bold ) is changed every month , and name is date of first day of calendar month.

More sophisticated way of monitoring UPS status is connecting to server program from hoza, in order to do it , login to heplx43 computer
as root :
    ssh heplx43 -l root
    cd /opt/pi/ext/poweralert/console
    ./pa!
After this window with list of server is displayed, choose server IP of pi3 : 139.229.110.218 and
window of PowerAlert program should be displayed.

2. Checking UPS status in WAW

There is poweralert server running on pi3 computer, if not it can be started as root by running :
    /etc/init.d/pa start
This server creates log file which is partly copied to heplx40 with all status files and can be checked here.
In case there are no fresh entries in this file it means :
