AID TO UKRAINE

Ratio
The main objective of this webpage is to gather and make available, to all who are interested, reliable information on the current resp. planned actions of material support to inhabitants of Ukraine who struggle against the Russian military, terrorist, economic and information agression or have become direct victims thereof. It is not to inspire the need, or to justify the obligation, understood broadly, to lend a helping hand to the fighting Ukraine — You must look for these by Yourselves within the ethical, intellectual, cultural, historical, (geo)political, emotional or any other domain.
The recommended actions, described in detail on pages Institutional initiatives and Individual initiatives, are fundraisers and collections of material donations that seek to address such urgent humanitarian needs as, among others, the delivery of warm clothes and footwear (for the coming winter) to the population in the war zones (the so-called ATO zone) currently or until recently, the purchase of indispensable medical materials and their transport to hospitals treating victims of the armed conflict, safeguarding elementary material needs of those affected by the military actions as well as of the refugees from Ukraine staying at dedicated facilities all over Poland. The basic criteria of choice of these initiatives have been the following: – the credibility of information on the support action (in the case of institutional initiatives, its assessment is based on the documented formal status of the institution organising the action as well as on participants' opinions, whereas in the case of individual initiatives its evaluation is – of necessity – of a subjective nature and, as such, may be subjected to further discussion/verification); – the actual measure of assistance provided to those in need thereof (a logistic capacity, verified in practice, to reliably realise the commitments undertaken, and a sound pragmatic justification of the purpose of the collection, founded on a good and constantly revised understanding of the actual local needs); – apoliticality. |
