Stanisław Żukowski
Welcome to my web page! I am a physicist with a broad interest in the emergence of patterns and forms in nature. Among these, I study various transport networks, such as river networks or the jellyfish gastrovascular canal network. In my work, I combine numerical and theoretical modeling with experiments and real-world data analysis. To see specific projects I have worked on, you can check the Projects tab.
I completed my PhD under the supervision of Piotr Szymczak at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, University of Warsaw and Annemiek Cornelissen, Stéphane Douady at the Laboratoire Matière et Systèmes Complexes (MSC), Université Paris Cité. I will soon begin my position as a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Biological Transport Networks group, led by Eleni Katifori, at the Center for Computational Biology, Flatiron Institute, Simons Foundation.
Together with Annemiek Cornelissen and John Shaw we organize online seminars on looping morphodynamic networks. Feel free to join us.
