Seminarium fizyki jądra atomowego
Dnia 16 kwietnia 1999 odbyło się seminarium pt.
„Nuclear Moments of 180mTa”
prelegent: prof. Takashi Thomas Inamura (ŚLCJ Warszawa)
Streszczenie: It will be discussed how one can determine nuclear properties independently of the nuclear model by introducing our device at RIKEN. That is based on a laser-RF double resonance technique (LRDR) which was for the first time successfully used for Ta isotopes. Among them, the 180Ta nucleus has attracted much interest in astrophysics as well as in nuclear physics. Hyperfine structure of the atomic ground state 5d3 6s2 4F3/2 in 180mTa was thus measured with an unprecedented precision. The nuclear magnetic dipole moment was determined to be μ=+4.825 (11) μN and the nuclear electric quadrupole moment to be Q=+4.946 (20) b independently of the nuclear model. It was confirmed thad the nuclear spin and parity of this exotic nuclide should be 9-.
