A personal certificate is a digital identity document that can be used to sign digital messages like email and news. It can also be used by other people to encrypt information that is for your eyes only. Once you exchange certificates with your friends or business partners you can correspond over the Internet in complete privacy. Thawte's Web of Trust (WOT) is a unique, community-driven certification system based on face-to-face ID validation on a peer-to-peer basis. Get a Personal Certificate

Steps involved:

• Register at Thawte
• Confirm at least one email address
• Find and contact a WOT Notary in your area using the WOT Notary Map
• Generate a you earn 50pts, you will be able to include your Name in the certificate.
  If you earn 100pts, you will become a WOT Notary yourself.

If you would like for me to notarize you, we will need to find a time to meet. This process must be done in person according to Thawte. The steps above must be complete before we can meet though.
