Photoelectric effect

...and suddenly accelerated you fly out of orbits. Rushing with the energy imparted to you, you do not even notice how you are thrown beyond the last frame of material, leaving your native places and brother-electrons forever. You will never return to them again, you will never find each other on the same stable orbit around a single sense. And if – by a chance game of collisions, or perhaps by the destiny of unknown equations, – you will not be picked up by another atom, then you will skip into the infinity of the cold void of the universe – where the dead light lasts for eternity – not shining on anyone and warming no one. Meaningless.

Watch out for photon sources.
